    The National CSR Forum (CSR = corporate social responsibility) recently presented its recommendation report to the Federal Minister of Labour and Social Affairs, Ursula von der Leyen, in Berlin.


  2. 31.05.2010: Indian Secretary Bandyopadhyay meets State Secretary Storm.

    A high-ranking Indian delegation headed by the Secretary in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs Bandyopadhyay visited the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs today. State Secretary Storm launched the visit by speaking with his colleague on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in a globalised economy. This topic was discussed in greater detail in a dialogue event with various stakeholders in the afternoon.

  4. 09.03.2009: ASEM-CSR Conference took place in Potsdam from 15 until 17 March 2009

    Together with EU Commissioner Vladimir Spidla and the Labour and Employment Ministers of important ASEM member countries, Federal Minister of Labour and Social Affairs Olaf Scholz is committed to enhancing Corporate Social Responsibility in Europe and Asia. At the High Level ASEM Conference in Potsdam current developments in the field of CSR were discussed.


  5. 20.01.2009: Forum on Corporate Social Responsibility Set Up!

    On 20 January 2009, the German Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs set up a forum on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). The forum consists of about 40 representatives from the business community, civil society, trade unions, academia and policy-making and will give advice and support to the German Federal Government in the development of a national CSR strategy. The purpose of a national CSR strategy is to promote a sustainable corporate management and help to shape the social and ecological dimensions of globalisation.


  6. 17.12.2008: Study: Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) between market and politics

    The present study "Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) between market and politics" discusses the current CSR debate and provides recommendations as for the approach, the fields of action and development process of a national CSR-strategy as currently developed by the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (BMAS).


  7. 06.06.2008: The Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs is family-friendly

    The Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs has successfully faced up to the berufundfamilie® (work and family) audit. The recent award of the basic certificate confirms that the Ministry has drawn up measures to implement family-friendly personnel policies which are to be implemented in the next three years.


  8. 28.05.2008: "Corporate values" make commitment visible

    The number of enterprises which assume social responsibility and integrate voluntary social commitment in their corporate strategy is constantly growing in Germany. The Federal Government wishes to promote this social responsibility. The new Internet page provides information on fundamental aspects of CSR, international guidelines and tools, as well as on the areas of action and activities of the Federal Government in this context. www.csr-in-deutschland.de is a further step towards developing a national CSR Strategy.


  9. 30.04.2008: Corporate Responsibility - A Net Gain for All"

    350 individuals from Germany and other countries discussed the social responsibility of enterprises (Corporate Social Responsibility, CSR) on 29 and 30 April. The Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs is responsible for this area within the Federal Government, and hosted the conference entitled "Corporate Responsibility - A Net Gain for All".
