Commitment of the Federal Government

The first action area under the National Action Plan for Business and Human Rights describes the state’s duty to protect human rights. This includes both the government’s duty to protect human rights in its own activities and its duty to support companies as they implement their due diligence obligations.

The Federal Government is committed to ambitious implementation of the UN Guiding Principles at various levels and by various means. In this connection, it makes use of cooperation with stakeholders in order to strengthen corporate responsibility in supply chains.
