Sector-specific guidance documents

Depending on the business model, company size, position in the supply and value chain or geographical context, very different challenges arise when implementing human rights due diligence. The following guidance documents provide an overview of sector-specific challenges and approaches to solutions in this respect.

This guide is aimed at companies dealing with minerals from conflict and high-risk areas in the course of their business activities. Using the example of tin, tantalum, tungsten and gold, the elements and options for action of responsible supply chain management are presented step by step.

This practice-oriented guideline is aimed specifically at small and medium-sized enterprises that are faced with the challenge of developing an effective and efficient management approach. The Chemie3 initiative has carried out a pilot project with medium-sized companies in the sector on "Sustainability in Supply Chains", the experience of which has been incorporated into the guide. The guide provides an overview of the basics and guidance for the step-by-step establishment and development of a pragmatic approach to sustainable supply chain management. It is complemented by a toolbox, which includes, among other things, a checklist for the inventory of current supply chain management and a basic code of conduct.
