The sector dialogue is a multi-stakeholder forum comprising representatives of the automotive industry and civil society organisations that have relevant expertise in dealing with human rights risks in the context of automotive supply and value chains. The dialogue also collaborates with existing sector-wide initiatives that focus on human rights due diligence.

Dialogue agreement

All stakeholders involved in the sector dialogue have signed the dialogue agreement, thereby committing themselves to improve the human rights situation along the global supply and value chains of the German automotive industry by implementing concrete solutions.

Numerous other stakeholders contribute specific regional and technical expertise to the sector dialogue as and when required. These include representatives of federal ministries and agencies, national and international trade unions and trade union confederations, NGOs, embassies, research institutes, suppliers from other sectors and local rights holders.
